“HORIZONS”, features six original songs written by Bennett and produced by himself, as well as Jon Truman and Jonathan Johnston of The Band Apollo. The E.P.’s title track, “Horizons,” has an easy, mellow pop melody similar to those done by John Mayer and Jason Mraz. “Woman” is a hazy, vulnerable ballad showcasing Bennett’s elegiac style of writing, while “Everytime” and “Girl Like You” tell angst-ridden stories of hidden or lost love, filled with descriptive lyrical imagery. “How Much Sweeter” is welcomed buoyant touch to the E.P.’s collection of songs, with a dash of violin medleys and a contented story line.
