The Man Behind the Guitar

Isaiah Bennett is a full time musician/DJ out of Portland, Maine. After leaving southern Maine at the young age of 18, he lived in Boise, Idaho and Northern California, where he began playing acoustic covers of popular songs in wine bars and pubs. It was during those years that he pulled from his background to add soulful interpretations to his cover music while beginning to pen songs of his own.

In 2014, Bennett made it onto the hit TV show American Idol and got through several rounds before being voted off.

His first EP “HORIZONS” was released in 2014 and features six original songs written and produced by Bennett. “VESSELS” was released in 2016 and made it to #9 on the iTunes Gospel & Praise charts.

With 12+ years of experience and hundreds of 5-star reviews, Isaiah specializes in live acoustic music for ceremonies and cocktail hour combined with high-energy DJ & MC services for unforgettable receptions. Couples hire Isaiah because he keeps the day flowing smoothly, reads the room, and creates a soundtrack that feels personal, emotional, and fun — never cheesy or awkward. Serving Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts weddings.

Bennett now resides in Southern Maine with his wife and four children. He continues to travel the area opening for bands, playing weddings, private parties and in local musical hot-spots. His live shows consist mainly of his own songs and popular cover songs, but always with a twist.
